Growise, a provider of innovative smart farm technology solutions, announced on the 5th that it has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with World Bridge Al Saudiya, a key player in Saudi Arabia's local infrastructure construction and engineering sector. This partnership aims to accelerate Growise's entry into the Middle Eastern smart farm market, focusing on the production of high-value-added crops.
This collaboration was established through a partnership with World Bridge Al Saudiya, the local subsidiary of World Bridge Industry Co., Ltd. The partnership is recognized for completing a practical business execution model by integrating Growise's global technical competitiveness with the production bases and infrastructure already secured by the local subsidiary. It is drawing attention as the starting point for a "locally-integrated business model" that overcomes the traditional challenges of high initial costs and long construction periods associated with entering the Middle Eastern market.
Under this MOU, the two companies will develop a "Saudi-style Smart Farm Standard Model" by combining their specialized capabilities. World Bridge Al Saudiya will be responsible for providing architectural facilities for smart farm operations, establishing water and power infrastructure, navigating local laws and permits, and securing sales networks. Drawing on its experience executing projects for the National Water Company (NWC) and Aramco, World Bridge plans to provide a stable administrative and physical foundation for the business.
Growise will be responsible for the core technological components of the smart farm. This includes supplying the construction process and equipment, data-driven decision support systems, generative AI cultivation solutions, and specialized cultivation techniques and operational know-how. Growise aims to showcase its technical edge, enabling stable production even in extreme environments.
The primary crops to be cultivated in Saudi Arabia are leafy greens such as lettuce and kale, along with strawberries. Due to its climate, Saudi Arabia has low self-sufficiency rates for fresh vegetables and high-quality fruits, making it highly dependent on imports. Growise intends to transform the market structure by directly producing and supplying fresh produce with consistent quality, using AI-based precision control technology to minimize water consumption.
As the Saudi government actively promotes food security and smart city-linked agriculture under "Saudi Vision 2030," this collaboration is emerging as a leading example of a sustainable, advanced agricultural model. The synergy between World Bridge’s extensive local infrastructure expertise and Growise’s smart farm technology aligns perfectly with the government's strategic direction.
